About

  • Having come from a background in professional sport and banking, setting up a Sports Marketing Agency may not seem like a traditional route. But in 2003 I took the plunge and left the safety of being a self-employed consultant to set up Into the blue, with the added time constraints of a one-year old baby.

The world of sports marketing has evolved beyond recognition, and so has Into the Blue. From the origins of PR, athlete management and commercial sales to creating a life cycle analysis tool for the marine industry to founding a charity that uses the power of sport to teach STEM subjects, to designing the identity and product range for a Hygienics business as Covid spread across the globe.

Three Olympic cycles spanning 12 years, three Vendée Globes, three Volvo Ocean Races and three ever-improving attempts to win sport's oldest International trophy, the America’s Cup.

Throughout our journey we have been committed to using the power of sport to educate, inspire and combat climate change. In 2007 we launched the Volvo Eco Challenge, in 2015 managed the process for the America’s Cup team to become the first sports team to receive the Olympic inspired sustainability certification, ISO2021, across all team operations, to 2022 when we launched a global campaign to give young people science-based knowledge to empower action and ‘Protect our Future’.

Into the Blue is now a design house, alongside a marketing agency, that cares deeply about how sport has the opportunity drive positive change.
