The project

Eliud Kipchoge wanted to use the INEOS 1:59 Challenge (sub-two-hour marathon) to send his message far and wide to inspire people to break down their own personal barriers.

The challenge

Spread Eliud’s message far and wide, building and engaging a global community to support and inspire him during the challenge and creating a legacy thereafter by bring his philosophy to life.

Inspire people around the world to question their own limits, both mentally and physically. Encouraging people to share their own stories of breaking barriers with the #NoHumanIsLimited.

Design and create a cross-channel integrated socially-driven global campaign, telling stories of inspirational people who reinforced Eliud mantra – ‘No human is limited’.

Identify hero ambassadors that could support Eliud in the challenge and in his inspirational mission using their inspirational #NoHumanIsLimited stories to engage a diversified audience with the challenge.

The result

Into the Blue delivered a global community campaign with Eliud and eight specially selected ambassadors including Chris Froome, Tanni Grey Thompson, Patrick Vieira and Hermann Maier, each telling their inspirational stories through video, graphics and written media.

The eight main ambassador videos published to date including Eliud Kipchoge’s #NoHumanIsLimited video have received a total of 92M views across owned channels and ambassador channels (13th Sep – 13th Nov 2019 ).

All posts across owned channels regarding #NoHumanIsLimited content (ambassador content and fan story content) received a combined total of 866K engagements and 2M impressions.

On Twitter #NoHumanIsLimited there were 219,831 posts mentioning #NoHumanIsLimited from 13th September to 22nd October with 1Bn cumulative impressions (source: Crimson Hexagon).

#NoHumanIsLimited was the third top trending topic worldwide on the day of the INEOS 1:59 Challenge, 12th October (behind two other topics related to INEOS 1:59 Challenge).

Several ambassadors held interviews with national media discussing what #NoHumanIsLimited meant to them including Chris Froome with The Daily Telegraph (which was teased on the front page) and Vieiera with L’Equipe.
